Are you a Teaching Assistant with experience in the SEND sector?

Are you looking for either a part time or full time role within an SEND school?

Are you both experienced and confident working with ASD learners?

With the COVID-19 crisis having a huge impact on the current academic year, many schools and provisions have turned their attention to preparation for next academic year and their staffing for September 2020.

Vetro Education are extremely keen to speak to Teaching Assistants experienced in working with pupils on the autistic spectrum, who would be interested in supporting schools in the Rhondda Cynon Taf area on a long term or short term basis from September 2020. Following the COVID-19 school closures, Head Teachers are expecting a very challenging time with staffing in September 2020. They anticipate the need for both long term and short term supply staff to support with a multitude of needs. Vetro Education and this particular SEND School have been working in partnership for over 3 years and the Teachers and Teaching Assistants who have worked there always have positive things to say about the school.

Please note a number of the long term placements have lead to permanent school contracts.

While at the school your duties will include:

Support the class teacher in the delivery of the lessons
Support pupils with their learning on a 1-2-1 and small group basis
Assist pupils at break time with their lunch Engage pupils in classroom and out-of-classroom activities
Work to the school's behaviour management policies

Minimum requirements:

Minimum of 3 months experience of working with children in an SEND environment - Specifically ASD
Fully enhanced DBS (on the Update service) - ability to obtain a new one
References covering the last two years (no gaps)
EWC registration (School support worker)
Right to work in the UK
