TEAM TEACH TRAINING ESSENTIAL FOR THESE ROLE

Aberdare – RCT £65 - £75 per day

September 2020 start

With the COVID-19 crisis having a huge impact on the current academic year, many schools and provisions have turned their attention to preparation for next academic year and their staffing for September 2020

As a result, we have direct instruction from this Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Aberdare to recruit Team Teach trained Teaching Assistants to take up a number of roles with a start date of September 2020

Teaching Assistants with experience of working with EBD (Emotional Behavioural Disorder) pupils in a SEND setting are ideal for this role, however Teaching Assistants with personal experience outside an education setting would also be considered. We are extremely keen to speak to Teaching Assistants experienced in working in this environment who are interested in supporting schools on a long term, short term or Ad Hoc basis. 

Duties of the role will include:

Support the class teacher in the delivery of their lessons.
Working on a 1-2-1 basis with pupils who have extreme challenging behaviour.
Follow the school’s behaviour management policy.
Engage with pupils both in the classroom and on out-of-school activities.

Minimum Requirements:

TEAM TEACH TRAINING IS ESSENTIAL FOR THESE ROLES.
3 months experience (where we can obtain a reference) of working with children in a SEND environment – Specifically EBD and challenging behaviour.
Fully enhanced DBS (on the Update service) - ability to obtain a new one.
References covering the last two years (no gaps).
EWC registration (School support worker).
Right to work in the UK.
