With the COVID-19 crisis having a huge impact on the current academic year, many schools and provisions are now turning their attention to preparation for second half of the Autumn term.
As a result Vetro Education are extremely keen to speak to Teaching Assistants experienced in working with pupils on the autistic spectrum, who would be interested in supporting schools on a long term, short term or Ad Hoc basis. Vetro Education and this SEND School have been working in partnership for a number of years and the Teachers and Teaching Assistants who have worked there always have positive things to say about the school.
While at the school your duties will include:
Support the class teacher in the delivery of the lessons
Support pupils with their learning on a 1-2-1 and small group basis
Assist pupils at break time with their lunch
Engage pupils in classroom and out-of-classroom activities
Work to the school's behaviour management policies
Minimum of 3 months experience of working with children in an SEND environment - Specifically ASD
Fully enhanced DBS (on the Update service) - ability to obtain a new one
References covering the last two years (no gaps)
EWC registration (School support worker)
Right to work in the UK
