As a result, Vetro Education North Wales is extremely keen to speak to Teachers of Secondary Science who have experience in SEND environments, SEBD and PRU settings. Teachers of Biology, Physics and Chemistry will all be considered for the role. The school itself has instructed Vetro Education to recruit a Science teacher who is enthusiastic about SEND environments, comfortable in an environment with challenging behaviour setting and passionate about making a difference to learners with social and emotional behaviour difficulties.
Duties of the role will include;
- Delivery, planning and marking of lessons in accordance with the national curriculum.
- Working as a team with the Teaching Assistants in their class
- Follow the school’s behaviour management policy
- Engage with pupils both in the classroom and on out-of-school activities Plan for and attend parents’ evenings (if on long term positions)
- Qualified Science Teacher (QTS or overseas equivalent)
- TEAM TEACH TRAINING IS ESSENTIAL FOR THESE ROLES 1-year Teaching experience (where we can obtain a reference) of working with children in a SEND environment Specifically EBD and challenging behaviour
- Ideally, 3-6 months of experience working in a PRU setting
- Fully enhanced DBS (on the Update service) - ability to obtain a new one References covering the last two years (no gaps)
- EWC registration (Teacher)
- Right to work in the UK
