Vetro Education, North Wales has an exciting opportunity for a teaching assistant to support a year 2 student with cerebral palsy. 

As a teaching assistant, you will be working with the individual to assist them with their work and support their additional needs. Applicants must have a recent manual handling certificate and experience of working with children with additional needs.

The position will be starting in September on a temporary to permanent basis. This role is working in a mainstream primary school based in Wrexham.

Salary and Hours
Daily pay rate - £63.52- £70 dependant on experience and qualifications
Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:30 pm. Temp-Perm

Responsibilities
  • To support the class teacher
  • Ensure the individual additional needs are met 
  • Promote therapeutic relationships between staff, young people and the community

Requirements
  • Experience in primary education.
  • Experience working with children who have physical needs
  • Teaching Assistant level 1 or above would be ideal but not essential
  • Manual handling certificate (still in date) 
  • familiar with medication administering ( full training provided)
  • DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a new DBS
  • Registered with EWC or willing to register
  • Rights to work in the UK - Passport or full birth certificate
