Brand New Charge Nurse Opportunity in Exeter!
Vetro has a fantastic new opportunity for a Registered Charge Nurse for a new purpose-built facility in Exeter where a range of mental health services are provided for adults with acute mental health conditions across two wards and eight individual flats. Along with extensive benefits, the salary for this full-time position will be £38,000. This service operates 24/7 you will work shifts including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.

About the Role:

The 24-hour acute inpatient service is supported by a full multidisciplinary team, which specialises in the assessment, treatment and stabilisation of people suffering from a significant mental health episode and in crisis. Clinical and therapeutic services are delivered in a safe environment, providing the opportunity for recovery, while rehabilitation services provide a pathway of care supporting individuals back to their community.
As a Charge Nurse you will be working within a team that includes a range of professionals.
You will be central to providing high quality care within a 'medium secure' forensic setting. The patient group consists of Personality Disordered and Enduring Mental Illness.
You will work within an identified career development pathway and be expected to complete an appropriate competency development portfolio.

Requirements:

RMN/RNMH/RNLD (Essential)
Recognised Mentorship certification (Desirable)
NVQ Assessor Qualification (Desirable)

Experience of working in a supervisory capacity, secure environment and interdisciplinary teamwork. Experience of assessing and teaching junior staff and coordinating care. The candidate needs to prioritise key tasks in relation to the sphere of work and report writing. Management of health and Safety and related issues
