Are you a Teaching Assistant with experience in challenging behaviour and/or in a pupil referral unit?
Are you looking for either a part time or full time role within a PRU setting in the Monmouthshire LEA?

With the recent announcement for schools to return full time at the start of the next academic year, schools can now turn their attention to preparation for September 2020. As a result Vetro Education are extremely keen to speak to Teaching Assistants experienced in working with pupils with challenging behaviour, social and emotional mental health issues, emotional behaviour disorder and leaners within a pupil referral unit.
Vetro Education have worked in partnership with a number of Local Education Authorities in the supply of SEN staff for a number of years and the Teachers and Teaching Assistants who have worked with Vetro have had plenty of positive things to say about their experiences.
While at the school your duties will include:
Support the class teacher in the delivery of the lessons.
Support pupils with their learning on a 1-2-1 and small group basis.
Assist pupils at break time with their lunch.
Engage pupils in classroom and out-of-classroom activities.
Work to the school's behaviour management policies.
TEAM TEACH training is essential for this role.
Minimum of 3 months experience of working with children in an SEND environment.
Fully enhanced DBS (on the Update service) - ability to obtain a new one.
References covering the last two years (no gaps).
EWC registration (School support worker).
Right to work in the UK.
