I have a fantastic opportunity for a Registered Manager to join a brand new Residential Service provider to open and manage a Children's Residential home in Wolverhampton. The home, which has been refurbished to a very high quality including its very own sensory room, is a 4-bed service for children & young people with learning disabilities and complex needs and is already registered with Ofsted.
Following the opening and a period of stability in the home, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to move into an operational role, and support the opening of the next service, a 6 bed home with planning permission in place for conversion to a Children’s Residential provision already in place a few miles down the road.
You will be responsible for the day to day running the residential service, duties including budget management, recruitment, referrals, staff management and most importantly the well being of the children and young people within their care.
Salary: £42,000 - £45,000 basic
Hours: Full time
Contract Type: Permanent
The role of Children's Home Manager offers the opportunity for a candidate already in a registered manager position, looking for a new opportunity in an ambitious organisation, with the children and quality at the heart of their values and a dedicated leadership team with the vision to inspire and support young people to lead happy and successful lives.
The ideal candidate for this position will have strong leadership and managerial skills and experience leading within a residential home for children & young people with Learning Disabilities & Complex needs or EBD.
Responsibilities of the Registered Manager:
- Hold OFSTED registration
- Manage staff team within service
- Ensure the staff and young people are supported at all times
- Ensure the service offers therapeutic care and support
- Ensure the service is safe and efficient
- Manage staffing and recruitment
- Ensure the service meets OFSTED standards
- NVQ or QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management (Children's Services)
- NVQ Level 3 in Children's Residential Services
- Experience working within a Deputy or Registered Manager's position
- Experience in a residential children's home environment
