We have an exciting opportunity for an Area Director to join a the senior management team of a nationwide organisation that provides care and support for adults with learning disabilities and associated needs.
The post holder will lead a team of Regional Managers in North West England, supporting them to ensure delivery of the area operational plan, including all growth, occupancy and financial targets.
The Area Director will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a culture of excellence across all operational services in their area ensuring that they are managed to a consistently high standard and that the people supported are safe and supported to fulfil their potential.
Your patch would include services in Manchester, Wirral and Shrewsbury. You will manage 3 Regional Managers across these areas, who will have a combined total of 200+ staff who will work between the different services.
The services that you will be overseeing will be a mixture of supported living and residential services.
As an Area Director, flexibility achieve goals and objectives will be expected, this will include occasional evening and weekend work. The role will also include travelling between the different services within your patch.
Salary will be between the figures of £55,000 - £60,000, dependant on experience.

To be considered, you would need the following
- Operational management experience within Adult learning disabilities services
- NVQ Level 5
- Experience of managing 10+ learning disabilities services across
- Minimum 3 years management experience above home management level.
- Driving Licence.
You will also have good literacy and numeracy skills, be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools, have excellent and proven leadership skills, a professional manner and presentation, and a flexible management style allowing you to adapt to the different ways people like to be managed.
