If you have a passion for making a difference to the lives of young people who are struggling with mental health then come and join the vetro team!

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) Support Worker to join our team.

The role will require you to support children and young adults with mental health conditions, learning difficulties and autistic spectrum disorder. Inpatient provision is offered to young people between the ages of 12 and 18 years. You will be working alongside a specialist team of psychiatrists, Registered Mental Health Nursers (RGN) and therapist’s so you are fully supported within your role.

The ideal candidate must have proven CAMHS experience.

The patients you care for can display high levels of challenging behaviour that some people may find distressing.
Due to this, all staff members are required to have valid restraint training such as MAPA / TMVA / PMVA. If you do not have the required training it is mandatory that you attend our specialist 3 day PMVA training course. This course usually costs £250 or more. We are able to offer this to you at a highly discounted price of £75! (We pay the remainder)

The hospital aims to meet a young person's mental health needs safely and effectively, in the least restrictive environment, whilst maintaining their privacy, dignity and relationships with those close to them.

The hospital believes that the location in which the therapy takes place is just as important as the treatment itself which is why it is located in a horticultural area with spacious gardens for patients to relax in. The hospital has six newly refurbished wards all including on-suite bedrooms for each patient and comfortable lounge areas. There is also outdoor gym equipment available for patients to use as and when they want and each patient is prescribed an exercise programme to help promote a healthy lifestyle.
