We are currently recruiting for an experienced Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) Support Worker to join our team.
The role will require you to support children and young adults with mental health conditions, learning difficulties and autistic spectrum disorder. Inpatient provision is offered to young people between the ages of 12 and 18 years. You will be working alongside a specialist team of psychiatrists, Registered Mental Health Nursers (RGN) and therapist’s so you are fully supported within your role.
The ideal candidate must have proven CAMHS experience.
The patients you care for can display high levels of challenging behaviour that some people may find distressing.
Due to this, all staff members are required to have valid restraint training such as MAPA / TMVA / PMVA. If you do not have the required training it is mandatory that you attend our specialist 3 day PMVA training course. This course usually costs £250 or more. We are able to offer this to you at a highly discounted price of £75! (We pay the remainder)
The hospital aims to meet a young person's mental health needs safely and effectively, in the least restrictive environment, whilst maintaining their privacy, dignity and relationships with those close to them.
The hospital believes that the location in which the therapy takes place is just as important as the treatment itself which is why it is located in a horticultural area with spacious gardens for patients to relax in. The hospital has six newly refurbished wards all including on-suite bedrooms for each patient and comfortable lounge areas. There is also outdoor gym equipment available for patients to use as and when they want and each patient is prescribed an exercise programme to help promote a healthy lifestyle.

Job Type: Flexible on going work
Shifts: Flexible shifts depending on your preference. Full time/part time. Day shifts/night shifts available.
Pay: £10.42 (hourly) inclusive of holiday entitlement. Bank holidays are paid at time and a half.
About the Role:
As a Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) support worker you will provide specialist care to children and young adults to help them acquire the skills needed to manage their mental health and live an everyday life. Your role will involve meeting with patients to assess their needs and ensure risk assessments are up to date and accurate and that company policies are adhered to at all times.

Key Requirements Required:
- Valid DBS uploaded on the update system. (DBS forms can be purchased through our online application)
- PMVA / TMVA / MAPA trained (Training can be provided)
- Right to work in the UK
- Complete the company's mandatory online training courses if you do not have a current certificate for them. These are free of charge to you.
