Vetro Recruitment are looking for support worker superheroes to join the team!

Locations: Wellington, Chard and Bridgwater

Hours: 8am - 8am / 9am - 9am (with a sleep-in from 11pm - 7am)

Pay: £8.50 - £9.53 including holiday pay (£213.19 per shift including holiday pay)

Benefits: Flexible work, weekly pay and a dedicated consultant

**YOU MUST BE OVER 25 YEARS OLD AND A DRIVER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE DUE TO THE AGES OF THE YOUNG PEOPLE YOU WILL BE SUPPORTING**

The opportunity:

Do you want to make a difference to lives of children and young people? We are looking for passionate people to join our lovely team of Support Workers. You will have the chance to work on a flexible ad-hoc basis in a small cluster of children's residential homes that support young people with emotional behavioural difficulties. The homes offers placements to young people aged 10-16 years who display challenging and harmful behaviours.

Not only will you be working in the most rewarding sector there is, but you'll also be in control of when you work and where you work. We support children's residential homes, transitional services and respite care for 9 - 21 year olds. We've got lots of other support worker jobs with these same clients. Why not take the opportunity to work with these homes on a flexible basis to see where your next permanent opportunity will be?

Shifts available:

The homes require 24 hour shifts, starting at 8am or 9am and finishing at the same time the next day. You will sleep between 11pm and 7am on site. There is no flexibility on these hours so you must be happy with long days and sleep-ins if you are thinking of applying.

Your experience:

In an ideal world, you will have at least six months experience supporting children and young people with complex needs or emotional behavioural difficulties. On the other hand, we also love giving people the opportunity to experience a new sector who have supported other client groups but always wanted the chance to support young people! The one thing you do need? A full UK driving licence (and a great attitude!).

The pay:

As a children's residential support worker, you will earn between £8.50 and £9.53 depending on how you would like to be paid holiday pay. You'll be paid on a weekly basis and even have the option to work with a FCSA-accredited company to benefit from statutory employment rights and discounts worth hundreds of pounds in day to day savings - you can even get discount on your weekly food shop!
