-Would you like a term time only position in Tadley - Hampshire?
-Would you like to enhance the lives of young people?
-Would you like to support children and young people with additional needs including autism, ADHD & Tourettes syndrome?
This role is based on 37.5 hours per week, 38 weeks of the year and is in need of an outgoing support worker to enable the young people with their independence skills. Your role will require you to complete morning, afternoon and weekend shifts to support the children with their daily and educational routines.
Your role will also include completing activities with the young people so a fun personality is required for this role!
Your day will be varied but, overall you will provide the highest quality care possible in a safe and positive residential environment. This will involve listening at all times and on occasion using non-verbal communication for the young people.
You will also spend time in school supporting during the academic day.
Your duties may include: -
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of young people
- Supporting young people with daily life skills; dressing, personal hygiene and preparing food for meal times.
- Encouraging positive behaviours and caring for the well-being of service users.
- Supporting the wider team of staff within the home and school to ensure the young people reach their full potential.
- You may act as a Key Worker, which involves liaising with external agencies, family members and other support services.

Training is provided for you for this role so no experience is required, however it would be an advantage due to some potentially challenging behaviours.
