Each home is strategically located so the Young People can utilise public transport links for

The homes are located in Handsworth, Erdington, Cotteridge and Sutton Coldfield
Salary & Hours
Salary £22k - £25 ( Inclusive of Sleep ins)
Permanent full time position - 37.5 hour p/week
Day shift patterns: early (7:30am - 3pm) late (3pm - 10:30pm) late & sleep (3pm - 8am)
Long day (7:30am - 10:30pm) long day plus sleep (07:30am - 8am)
Waking nights: 10pm - 8am)
Provide a nurturing, therapeutic environment and care, support and supervision to help the
children and young people to progress. This includes household tasks, cooking, shopping, laundry
and independent living skills to the children and young people.
Maintain a safe environment that complies with Health and Safety and other legal requirements.
Maintain up to date knowledge of the statutory and procedural framework for residential care.
Undertake any other duties as may be necessary and as directed by senior staff.
Full UK Driving licence with access to own vehicle
Previous experience working in a children's residential setting
NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People is desired but not essential
Annual Leave. Entitlement for permanent staff is 20 days per year, plus Bank and Public Holidays.
