Do you have the DRIVE and PASSION to work as part of the management team in a Children’s Residential home? If so, I want to hear from you! 

I am currently recruiting for a Deputy Manager at a Children’s Home  for a small children’s provider in a 3 bedded home based in Rugeley. The home accommodates 4 Young People of mixed genders with Complex needs.

Salary & Hours

£20,475 plus £50 p/sleep in shift (11 sleep in a month)
Permanent full time position
37.5 hours per week

NVQ Level 3 in Children's Residential is ESSENTIAL
A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working with children and young people in a residential setting within the last 5 years.
A minimum of 6 months’ experience of supervising professional staff.
Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
The successful candidate will hold or obtain the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Care or an equivalent qualification within 3 years of their Deputy Manager post commencing.


Assist the Registered Manager to ensure the home environment is appropriate and sensitive to the
needs of the children and young people being looked after and is compliant with the Children’s
Homes Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards.
To contribute to the child or young person’s plan which reflects his / her care, education, social,
emotional, cultural, therapeutic and health needs
Maintain staff routines in relation to all aspects of childcare.


Annual Leave. Entitlement for permanent staff is 20 days per year, plus Bank and Public
Pension Scheme.
