Vetro Recruitment are proud to be working with a leading provider of Residential support to find a suitably experienced Deputy Manager to work in one of their established homes in Knowsley that caters for both boys and girls, with placements for up to 5 young people who present with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and/or learning disabilities
Candidates will need a strong grounding in understanding the needs of young people with a learning disability including specifically autistic spectrum.
This role is one that requires a high level of organisational and administrative skill along with an ability to lead and manage a team of residential staff. The successful candidate will ideally have a previous experience of residential child care management, with an in-depth knowledge of the legislative and guidance framework, as well as a deep commitment to making a difference to lives of young people in our care.
This role would be suitable for either an experienced Deputy Manager in a similar Children's Residential setting or an experienced Senior Children's RSW looking to progress in their career.
Experience and Qualifications
1 years relevant supervisory experience
3 years minimum experience of working in a residential setting with young people with LD / Autism
NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People
Diploma Level 4 Managers Award (or similar) and any relevant management qualifications would be an advantage.
Post holders will be required to work a minimum of 37.5 hours per week including some evenings, nights and weekends on a rota basis
