Vetro Recruitment are proud to be working with a leading provider of Residential support for children and young people aged between 10-18 years in the North West to find a suitably experienced Deputy Manager to work within one of their recently refurbished homes.
The organisation has a therapeutic approach that provides a stable, safe secure home for children and young people - the primary purpose of our provisions is to provide a caring/nurturing environment for CYP that have been assessed as being in need of residential care.
The Deputy Manager will be accountable for delivering high quality care to the children and young people resident within the home. This means that they will assist the Registered Manager in delivery of all care services, as well as the strategic planning for developments within the home, and all day to day management matters.
The successful applicant will work in the new 4 bed provision which offers a nurturing and therapeutic environment for young people aged between eleven and seventeen who have experienced trauma, neglect and abuse and who are already or have received Tier 4 services for their identified social, emotional and mental health needs and will also provide appropriate full time education for all residents.
While the Deputy Manager is employed for 37.5 hours per week, the role may involve some evening, weekend and sleeping-in duties. The Deputy Manager will assist the Registered Manager in ensuring an appropriate staff presence to meet the childcare needs of the children and young people in the home.
This role would be suitable for either an experienced Deputy Manager in a similar Children's Residential setting or an experienced Senior Children's RSW looking to progress in their career.
Experience and Qualifications
1 years relevant supervisory experience
12 months minimum experience of working in a residential setting with young people with
NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People
