We are looking to appoint a Deputy Home Manager for a Childrens Residential Home in Uttoxeter in Staffordshire. The home provides residential care for up to six young people with Emotional & Behavioural Disorders and challenging behaviours.
Your role as Deputy Manager, your emphasis of the work is by way of intervention and to challenge the inappropriate behaviour through a holistic & therapeutic approach. As a valued member of our team, you'll help in supporting and inspiring our young people whilst we support you to learn and gain qualifications within care.
Supporting and deputising for the home's Registered Manager, you will have had previous supervisory experience working with young people with challenging behaviour.
About the Job
Job Type: Permanent - Full Time
Salary: Up to £26,000 plus sleep in allowance
Hours: 39 hours per week
As Deputy Manager you will be respoinsbilbe for
- Supporting the Registered Manager to to run an efficient and caring team and day to day operations of the home
- Ensuring the highest standard of care in relation to the young people's emotional, social and behavioural needs
- Suporting family conatact, attending localt pub, 1:1 activities in the community whilst promoting independence
- Support and encourage educational engagement
For this role you must hold a Full UK driving licence and obtain a qualification in Level 3 in Children & Young People & be willing to study for the Level 5 Diploma.
