Your role will be to care for elderly or disabled service users in the comfort of thrie own home, or take them out on trips. A lot of the service users will require personal care and often emotional support. You will be suporting not only their physical wellbeing but also their emotional.
Within this role you may aid not only traditional home care tasks, but also social and technological challenges such as helping service users set up a skype call and use their computors etc. You might help them make their online food shopping orders for example.
An example of the kind of outings you might go on include shopping, going to the cinima, going out for coffee or visiting cultural sites.
Shifts and Pay
Both part time and full time hours are available, with full time being on average 36 hours a week, however there is some flexibility with this role.
Average hours of work are 9am at the earliest to mid-afternoon, evening shifts are also available.
Some weekend work will be required, though this is negotiable as to when weekends are worked.
Dependant on experience £8.50-£12 per hour.
Bank holidays and night shifts are paid at an enhanced rate.
