We have a fantastic opportunity for experienced, enthusiastic, highly motivated and flexible Education Support Workers to join a friendly and dynamic team at a Specialist Independent School in Frome and for a Care Farm in Maiden Bradley.
You would be supporting and educating young people aged 9-19 with emotional behavioural difficulties, complex Learning Difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Disorder and challenging behaviour.

Salary: £11,733 - £17,763
Full Time, Permanent, Term Time only (39 weeks of the year)

About the Care Farm:
The Care Farm environment successfully re-engages children with their learning, shows their capabilities and importantly changes their relationship with their own learning from one of failure to one of success.
As working farms, our activities are diverse and offer a range of services and opportunities including:
- Equine assisted learning and horse management.
- Animal care.
- Horticulture learning and therapy.
- Cooking and understanding healthy living.
- Accredited learning programmes.
- Specific and day projects including bush craft, lambing, falconry and nature arts and crafts.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Deal with any disruption and report to the teacher any difficulties that you are unable to overcome.
- Establish relationships with individuals and groups.
- Provide support for learning activities.
- Promote independent learning.
- Encouraging students to take responsibility for their own learning and promoting
- development of self-esteem.
- Promote social and emotional development of students.
- Contribute to health and wellbeing of the students.
- Must have experience of working with SEN and challenging behaviours.
- Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence due to the rural location of the settings.
- Must be aged 23 or over due to the requirements of the role.
- A good level of English and Maths.
- Experience of working with people with ASD.
