We have a fantastic opportunity for experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated Education Support Workers to join a friendly and dynamic team at a Specialist Independent School in Frome.

You would be supporting and educating young people aged 9-19 with emotional behavioural difficulties, complex Learning Difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Disorder and challenging behaviour.

Location: Frome

Salary: £11,733 - £17,763 (depending on experience)

Full Time, Permanent, Term Time only (39 weeks of the year)


Monday: 8:30am-4:30pm

Tuesday-Thursday: 8:30am-4pm

Friday: 8:30am-3:30pm

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Deal with any disruption and report to the teacher any difficulties that you are unable to overcome.
  • Establish relationships with individuals and groups.
  • Provide support for learning activities.
  • Promote independent learning.
  • Encouraging students to take responsibility for their own learning.
  • Promote social and emotional development of students.
  • Contribute to health and well-being of the students.

Experience Required:

  • Must have experience of working with SEN and challenging behaviours.
  • Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence due to the rural location of the setting.
  • Must be aged 23 or over due to the requirements of the role.
  • A good level of English and Maths.
  • Experience of working with people with ASD.
