Vetro Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for Support Workers to join our clients service in Ebbw Vale, working with ladies with Learning Disabilities.

This role is exempt under the Equality Act 2010 pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1. - open to female applicants only as personal care is involved as part of the role.

We're looking for enthusiastic and passionate individuals who can encourage and support the Service users with daily tasks and lots of activities.

Due to the nature of the activities - we are only able to consider applicants who have a full drivers licence and a car.

Salary: £17,948 - £18,240 (inclusive of sleeps) - pro rata if part time

Permanent work on a variety of contracts; 16 / 20 / 25 hours per week

Shift Times: Are varied e.g. 7am - 3pm, 3pm - 10pm, 5pm - 10pm sleep 7.30am - 9.30am, 10am - 3pm or 10pm-10am waking nights -

You will need to be quite flexible throughout the week as the rotas will change each week, depending on the needs of the service users. However rotas are prepared up to 4 weeks in advance, so you know in advance when you will be working and can plan accordingly

Providing support to people with learning disabilities, mental health needs, older people, people with Autism and physical disabilities, the successful candidate will be a driver with a passion for making a genuine difference to people's lives and work for an employer that really cares about you.

Providing support within supported living services with daily living skills and household tasks as well as supporting individuals in the community with activities such as going to the cinema and enjoying meals out.


  • Experience within a care setting is desirable but not essential
  • Flexibility and a good work ethic
  • Must be comfortable with personal care
  • You must have a full drivers licence
  • You must be over the age of 18
  • Comfortable with personal care
