We currently have a fantastic opportunity for Female Support Workers to join our clients service in Pontypool, working with six ladies with Learning Disabilities and some additional needs.
This role is exempt under the Equality Act 2010 pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1. - open to female applicants only as personal care is involved as part of the role.
We're looking for enthusiastic and passionate individuals who can encourage and provide support within supported living services. Supporting with daily living skills and household tasks as well as supporting individuals in the community with activities such as going to the cinema and enjoying meals out.
Due to the nature of the activities - we are only able to consider applicants who have a full drivers licence and a car.
Salary: £17,948 - £18,240 (inclusive of sleeps) - pro rata if part time
Permanent work on a variety of contracts; 16 / 20 / 25 hours per week - overtime is available if desired
Shift Times: Are varied e.g. 7am - 3pm, 3pm - 10pm, 5pm - 10pm sleep 7.30am - 9.30am, 10am - 3pm or occassionally 10pm-10am waking night.
You need to be flexible throughout the week, as the rota is prepared with the service users needs at the heart - However the rota is created up to 4 weeks in advance, so you always know where you are!

- Experience within a care setting is desirable but not essential
- Flexibility and a good work ethic
- You must have a full drivers licence & car
- You must be over the age of 18
- Comfortable with personal care
