Vetro Recruitment are looking Health Care workers to work with older people in elderly Nursing service based in Ammanford, West Glamorgan. We at Vetro offer the very best Health Care Assistant jobs in South Wales. This unit offers regular shifts both days and nights.

The Service

The role will involve working at an elderly Nursing home in the heart of a strong community area of Ammanford, West Glamorgan. The residents are mostly locals to Ammanford and enjoy a good quality of life within the home that looks after 36 residents. Activities, good well being and a warm atmosphere make this an ideal home for its occupants.

  • £10.75 - £11.50 per hour (Before holiday pay. Considerably more than minumim wage)

Duties of position
  • Maintaining the well-being of our residents. Ensuring their social, physical and emotional needs are met
  • Motivating and mentoring your chosen team and delivering clinical guidance and training to ensure the Care Home runs effectively and efficiently.
  • Ensuring Care Home practices conform to relevant standards, policies and legislation in a safe and efficient manner.
  • To promote the home residents’ independence, choice, dignity and respect by actively delivering the highest standards of care and striving for continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • A genuine passion for caring for the elderly with a variety of health conditions
  • Experience of manual handling equipment in a live environment would be extremely valuable within this role. Full training in Swansea offered by Vetro if not
  • A proven ability to work well within a team and promote excellent relationships.
  • To possess a respectful, courteous and compassionate nature, and to believe in giving your personal best at all times.
  • Driver not essential but may help if you don't live locally to the home
