Vetro Recruitment are looking for home care workers to join the team! We are working with a client who support adults with mental health needs and are looking for people to work on a flexible basis out in the community.

Shifts: A mix of 8am - 2:30pm, 8am - 4pm, 2:30pm - 9pm and 8am - 9pm shifts

Pay: £8.50 - £9.53 including holiday pay

Benefits: Flexible work, weekly pay and a dedicated consultant

Requirements: Medication Administration training and a full UK driving licence

The opportunity:

Do you want to make a difference to the lives of adults with mental health needs? We are looking for passionate people to support our client in Ebbw Vale who support adults with low support mental health needs. The client have a home with permanent tenants but also operate a home care service to adults in the community. You will be required to travel around the Ebbw Vale area carrying out a variety of visits. Some will be to administer medication or prompt medication or help with personal hygiene, others may simply be to make sure everyone is well and sit and have a cup of tea and a chat!

Not only will you be working in the most rewarding sector there is, but you'll also be in control of when you work and where you work. As well as supporting this client in Ebbw Vale, you will have the chance to work at a variety of care services across South Wales (Cardiff and the Vale, Torfaen, RCT, Blaenau Gwent, Newport and more). We support residential homes for adults with Learning Disabilities and Mental Health needs as well as children's residential homes, transitional services and respite care for 9 - 21 year olds. We've got lots of other support worker jobs with these same clients. Why not take the opportunity to work with these homes on a flexible basis to see where your next permanent opportunity will be?

Your experience:

In an ideal world, you will have at least six months experience supporting adults with mental health needs. On the other hand, we also love giving people the opportunity to experience a new sector who have supported other client groups within the Social Care sector but always wanted the chance to support adults with mental health needs.

The pay:

As a home care worker, you will earn between £8.50 and £9.53. You'll be paid on a weekly basis and have the choice of earning holiday pay straight away or accruing your holiday throughout the year.
