Independent Living Coach needed in Cardiff immediately!

Location: Cardiff

Shifts: 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday (36 hours per week)

Pay: £13 - £18 per hour

Benefits: Weekly pay and a dedicated consultant

The opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for a temporary contract at a not for profit company who are one of the leading providers of housing support in Wales. You will be working as an Independent Living Coach across two sites in the Heath and Llanrumney areas. Both sites are retirement schemes and so experience with the elderly and challenging behaviours would be essential. The tenants have mixed needs but are able to live independently.

The contract will be a minimum of 6 weeks although this contract is due to long term sickness and so there is a strong possibility that it could extend up to six months on a week by week basis.

Your experience:

You will need to have previous experience within the Housing sector to be considered for this opportunity. You will have ideally managed Sheltered Housing Schemes previously or managed Supported or Independent Living services before. You may have worked previously as a Housing Officer. Our client are also looking for someone who has experience dealing with maintenance queries, leasings and lettings and engaging with external professionals such as doctors, health professionals and contractors.

The pay:

As an Independent Living Coach, you will be earning between £13 - £15 per hour (£15.60 - £18 per hour umbrella). Pay rate will be dependent on your experience and qualifications.
