Do you have an interest in providing quality care and life experiences to adults with additional learning needs? Are you enthusiastic, resilient and driven to enrich and make a difference in the lives of others? 

We are currently seeking Support Workers to work with male adults aged 22 - 25 with learning difficulties. They are all very active and in normal times they enjoy a full range of community based and local activities. The purpose of your role is to give the highest possible standards of support to individuals with Moderate to Severe learning disabilities, mainly Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Challenging Behaviour, in all aspects of their daily lives. You will be helping to ensure the people we support:
  • Build confidence to develop interests
  • Feel secure and safe
  • Are provided with any personal care needed with dignity
  • Increase independence
  • Are enabled to make as many choices as possible
  • Achieve personal goals, which may include travel or holiday
 
Location: Coleford
Job Type: Flexible, temp to perm (after completion of 600 hours)
Shifts: Various shifts available including days and nights
Pay: £10.42 per hour inclusive of holiday entitlement

Key Requirements Required:
  • 6 months of experience working with adults with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Learning Difficulties and Challenging Behaviour
  • Applications accepted from those with experience in supporting adults with other learning difficulties
  • Right to work in the UK
  • A valid enhanced DBS registered to the update service. Should you not already have a DBS, we can help facilitate this for you
  • A passion for caring for and supporting adults with learning difficulties
