Vetro are recruiting on behalf of a long-established provider of quality education and care services for both children and adults. Due to continued growth and an excellent reputation, we are in the process of supporting a Residential Home for young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Severe Learning Disabilities (SLD) near Lincoln (LN4).
We are looking for a Male who can demonstrate an empathy with our clients and who possesses the skills necessary to support Male clients to develop and achieve their own goals. To be a positive and reassuring presence in the house, supporting and maintaining a safe and respectful therapeutic living environment.
As part of a strong care team you will be providing support to adults with complex needs and significantly challenging behaviours. You will be assisting with day to day care needs, promoting independent living skills and providing a fun and safe environment. You will need to be a team player who is patient and committed to our residents, with a genuine desire to help others.
- To primarily work in the Residential Home providing guidance, support and engagement.
- To contribute to the development of the young adults through the provision of a healthy lifestyle, a variety of appropriate stimulating activities and the example of a consistent and caring role model.
- To support the residents towards managing their own behaviours and becoming as independent as possible within their own capabilities by using the skills and approved approaches learnt during the training provided.
Hours / Annual Leave / Salary
Night shifts generally work from 8:30pm to 8am
Long week, short week - 2/5 (Wed + Thurs short & Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat + Sun long)
The position offers six weeks annual leave in line with shift pattern worked.
The Waking Night Support Worker position offers a starting salary of approximately £19,228.00, (£9.75 per hour) dependent upon shift pattern worked.
All new employees receive a comprehensive two-week induction and training period together with regular training provided to all staff.
