PMLD Teaching Assistant
- Location: KNOWSLEY
- Pay: £76 - £84 - 6.5 hours per day
- Start date -September 2024
As a PMLD Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with personal care, helping to manage their behavioural challenges, supporting and nurturing the students in the classroom. You will work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and other professionals to develop and implement behaviour management strategies and provide targeted support. This school works with both Primary and Secondary students.
The ideal SEMH Teaching Assistant will possess
- A keen interest in working with children
- Experience (paid or voluntary) working with Children and/or in the care/education sector
- Experience in a PMLD or similar environment desired but not essential
- Open to training and development
- Proactive work ethic
- A good understanding of special educational needs
- The ability to provide a range of support to pupils
- A patient and understanding attitude
- The ability to work as part of a team
