Vetro have a superb opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the team at a specialist hospital in Warrington as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner. The salary for this 37.5 hours per week role will be £35000 - £45000.
About The Role:
You will be working alongside a multidisciplinary team in Warrington to provide care and support to people with Learning Disabilities and Autism. Working alongside the Clinical Development Lead for Learning Disability and Autism, you will use Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) and Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) frameworks to implement process for the Northern Region.
You will be responsible for conduction and implement behavioural assessments and intervention methods to support service users' recovery at the hospital.
As a member of the multidisciplinary team, you will maintain good working relationships with your team, regularly updating one another on service users' care plans and reports. You will receive support from your team to achieve career goals and development and you'll have access to a variety of training programmes.
To conduct behavioural assessments, including functional analyses, and provide interpretations of the results.
To formulate and implement behavioural interventions. To effectively develop and implement appropriate assessment and intervention methods.
To support MDTs to produce PBS plans in accordance with good practice guidance in this area.
To exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment and intervention with clients working alongside other professionals in the multi-disciplinary team.
To maintain good working relationships with members of the multi-disciplinary teams and ensure effective communication through good verbal communication skills and the production of professional reports.
To participate in multi-disciplinary meetings concerned with the delivery of patient care as required.
To maintain appropriate links with professional colleagues in the Elysium Healthcare North West Service, the NHS, Universities and other relevant settings.
Successful Applicants Need/Have:
To be educated to at least Masters Degree level
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Good knowledge of PBS theory/practice
Well developed professional boundaries
To work to a high standard of direct practice with an explicit anti-discriminatory value base
Minimum of 1 years' experience post qualified
Experience of working in a hospital setting
Experience of working in a secure setting
Experience of applying Care Programme Approach
Experience of multi-disciplinary working
