I am working in partnership with one of Wales’s up and coming care providers offering residential support to children with emotional behavioural difficulties and have an exciting opportunity for a Children’s Home Registered Manager to oversee the running of a 4-bed children’s home in the Neath area of South Wales supporting children & young people between the ages of 8 - 18 with EBD.  

Salary £34,000 - £38,500 (with annual bonus of up to 10%)

The organisation is a small yet established Children’s Residential provider with a small senior leadership team, whose priorities are the wellbeing of the young people and staff alike.

This role offers support and development for the right candidate looking to step up into management.  Alternatively, a candidate already in a registered manager position, looking for a new opportunity in a small organisation, with the children at the heart of their values and a dedicated, close-knit leadership team. 

The ideal candidate for this position will have strong leadership and managerial skills and experience working in a residential home for young people.

The successful candidate will have:
  • QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Care or an equivalent qualification
  • QCF Level 3 in Children & Young People 
  • Experience working with children with EBD
  • At least 2 year’s experience in a leadership or management role
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience of managing a team effectively
  • Experience of managing home budgets
  • Pension

  • Bonus available up to 10% of salary annually
