Children's Residential Support Worker
Liverpool
£21,000- £23,000

Exciting Residential Support Worker roles opening in Liverpool. 

As a Residential Support Worker, you’ll play your part in helping the young children and adults achieve, succeed and devleop their independence.

Supporting children with EBD develop and increase their independence and encourage them to fulfil their potential. 

Working alongside other support workers and management, this role is perfect for anyone looking to develop their career within Children's Residential Services.

Job Role:
  • Day to day care 
  • Establishing and fulfilling individualised care plans
  • Supporting activities within the residential home and within the local community
  • Prompting with medication
  • Develop and support the mental health and well-being of the individual
  • Promoting the young person's independence and developing their life skills
  • Delivering excellent customer service and a genuine desire to help people
  • Support the young people with activities, such as; cinema, walks, activity centres, bowling, play areas etc.
  • Attend meetings with the line manager, educational, care, therapy and medical staff 
  • Stong communication skills
  • Reviewing children/young people’s progress
  • Domestic duties
  • Ensure the service operates within OFSTED guidelines
  • Working alongside families and children to develop relationships and skills 
  • Reporting key aspects of their care
Pay and Hours:
  • £10.50-£11 per hour
  • Sleep in £55 
  • 1 on 2 off/ 2 on 4 off
  • Permanent, full-time role
Requirements:
  • Driver (essential)
  • Health and Social Care L2 Children and Young People (desired)
  • NVQ L3 (desired)
  • Support worker experience
  • Experience working with children
  • DBS Certificate/ willingness to attain one
