Support Worker 
£11-£13 per hour 

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Support Worker to join a specialist team that provides support to one young adult, who has autism, within their private residence.
You will work on a 1:1 basis, focusing on empowering and developing the independence of the individual, alongside participating in frequent physical activities such as walking, swimming, and hiking. 
You will work within the private residence that is based in Altrincham, whilst also supporting the individual during activities and in the community. 

Job Details:
  • Supporting a non-verbal client within a private residence 
  • Working alongside other support staff and team leaders to provide support from 9:00-22:00 Monday to Saturday 
  • Supporting the client and the family with respite support 
  • Work within the family home, therefore working alongside side team family members
  • Organising and taking part in sports and exercise sessions
  • Participating and organising daily activities outside of the private residence such as; swimming, cinema, hiking, skiing and meals out in local restaurants. 
  • Communicating with the staff team, family, and the individual you will support
  • Assisting with cooking and cleaning, whilst also maintaining the client's independence - Ability to work one on one as well as within a team 
  • Offering prompts for individuals care, e.g. reminding of shaving 
  • Administrative responsibility 
  • Understanding of Applied Behaviour Analysis, and using this within support offered 

Pay and Hours:

  • 6 days per week (no shifts to be scheduled on Sundays and Bank Holidays)
  • Shifts between the hours of 9:00 - 22:00 
  • Full-time and part-time hours available, examples of contracted hours are: 40 hours, 37 hours, 26 hours and 13 hours per week available 

  •  NVQ L3 Health and Social Care 
  • Driver (essential)  Experience working with Autism and Learning Difficulties 
  • Must be willing to partake in a highly active lifestyle 
  • Ideally, experience and knowledge of using ABA, not essential 
  • Due to the role being based within a private residence smoking is not permitted at any time.
