Hours: 37.5 per week including early shifts, late shifts and weekend work

Salary: £18,117.75 (£9.29 per hour Plus £35 per sleep in)

Our Client's Children's Home near Basingstoke, is recruiting enthusiastic role models to join their team as a Support Worker. The home is a comfortable and warm environment that supports the needs of children and young people who have a diagnosis of moderate to severe autism with moderate challenging behaviour and associated conditions such as ADHD and Tourette's Syndrome.

The house is situated in a pleasant, rural location with picturesque views and open fields; it is steeped in history, particularly the civil war. Situated close to the village of Old Basing, it has excellent national transport links and offers the children and young people the opportunity to access community activities and facilities.

As a Support Worker, you will:

  • Support young people with their daily routines, which may include supporting them during the school day and also with fun social activities
  • Encourage positive behaviours and care for the well-being of the young people
  • With the support of the wider team of staff within the home and school, you will encourage the young people to reach their full potential
  • Be required to work flexibly and to undertake shift work including early shifts, late shifts and weekends.
