Residential Care Worker ~ Worksop ~ Nottinghamshire ~ up to £26,000!

Are you looking to be part of a company that makes a huge difference in the lives of children and young people? Do you see yourself as passionate and a positive role model? We are looking for three children’s residential care workers to join a team in Worksop. 

Within this location, set in the countryside location, you will be supporting 4 young people between the ages of 5 and 16 years old. Currently, the service has 3 young boys snd 1 young girl. The children within this residence need day-to-day support with EBD and may have been in traumatic situations previously.

We are looking for someone who has experience working with children in a care setting or even a school setting - relevant experience would be great!

Location: Worksop, Nottinghamshire 

Shifts: 
  • Two contracts available - 39 hours a week, 08:00 am to 22:00 pm x 2 a week, then x 3 a week on the second week. Including the 2 sleeps. 
  • 45 hours a week - same shift patterns with up to 3 shifts.

Pay and Benefits:
  • 39 hours a week - starts at £20,080, after 6 months £21,010 + £40 a sleep = £24,000
  • 45 hours a week - starts at £23,400 after 6 months £24,242 + £40 a sleep = £26,500+

This service provides a supportive and safe environment for young people, led by a product management team who will require your support in ensuring their service operates effectively and within OFSTED guidelines. You must be committed to taking an active role in the resident's independence and life skill development within a therapeutic and educational environment. 

A day to day role may include: organising and conducting activities for the young people in both educational ways and leisure activities, helping support the children and allowing them to develop healthy attachments. Taking part in domestic duties on a rota basis. 

Requirements:
  • Experience of work within a similar setting such as care or education 
  • Must have the desire to work towards an NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People
  • Must hold a full UK Driving licence
