I am looking for a Team Leader to join a welcoming team in a 3-bed supportive residence, on the outskirts of Huddersfield. This residence supports young people between the ages of 3 and 18, who have complex physical and learning disabilities. You will be leading a team of support workers within the residence, taking the next step up from a support worker. You will ensure records and observations are completed, potentially help with the staffing rota and above all be a positive role model for other staff to follow!
The team within this residence provide consistent support to the residents, both educationally and therapeutically - with high levels of supervision and training. The residents within your care will have physical disabilities that require assistance with personal care, all training will be provided in regards to the support and personal care you will provide.
In the position of Team Leader
- Location: Dewsbury, Yorkshire
- Job Type: Permanent contract of 40 hours
- Shifts: 7:30 am to 8:30 pm with an 8:30 am start on the weekends.
- Pay: £12 per hour, adding up to £25,000 a year!
The children within this residence are mobile but may need assistance, as a result, the activity curriculum may differ from other residences - a higher focus is placed on sensory needs and achieving a happy healthy young person! Full training will be provided for this role, in terms of 1 to 1 shadowing with existing staff.
