We are actively seeking experienced Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our team at Vetro Recruitment, to work at Annwylfan Ward, the Dementia Assessment Unit based in Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr, Ystrad Mynach.

Pay:
£20.00 to £33.00 (PAYE)
£25.86 to £42.66 (FCSA accredited Umbrella)
About the Role:
The ward accommodates Older people for Mental Health assessment and treatment. It specialises in the assessment of confusion, diagnosis and care of dementia.
The goal is always to treat each person as an individual and support independence, maintain contact with loved ones and promote enjoyment in activities and the best quality of life possible.
The ward is homely and informal whilst remaining a safe clinical ward where dignity is maximised at all times. Signage promotes orientation, independence and freedom as far as possible. These activities assist to structure the patient’s time but also enable the staff to assess the patient’s needs and functioning. The Consultant and other health professionals will decide when the patient is ready to leave hospital. The family/carer will be involved in planning discharge to meet the person’s needs.
We have ongoing, flexible shifts available with either full or part-time hours to suit your availability. We are especially interested to hear from RMNs who are compassionate, committed and have experience nursing in Elderly Dementia mental health settings. You will provide therapeutic care and support to patients, providing a first class service and commitment to making a difference in the lives of these patients and their families.
Duties will include:
Administering medication
Reviewing and planning care for patients
The implementation of care and treatment plans
Liaising with other professionals to deliver care to patients, including liaising with families.

Key Requirements:
You must be an RMN with at least 6 months relevant and recent experience
You must hold a valid NMC PIN
Up-to-date training certificates - All Wales Passport Practical Training (Moving & Manual Handling AND Violence & Aggression Training)
