Vetro have a fantastic new opportunity for a RMN/RNLD Staff Nurse at a service in Milton Keynes which offers medium and low secure services providing specialist treatment programmes for patients who have been detained under the Mental Health Act (1983) and have a history of offending behaviour. Along with extensive benefits, the salary for this full-time position will range from £27,816 - £38,633, depending on experience. The service operates 24/7. You will work shift patterns including weekends, bank holidays and nights. Standard shifts are 12 hours a day, working 3 days one week, 4 days the next.
About the Role:
The service is renowned for successfully treating sex offenders, personality disordered patients and those with forensic addictions. In addition, it offers tailored care to those patients who present with a dual diagnosis of mental illness/personality disorder and mild learning disability. (They also specialise in remand patients, patients transferred from prison and those with a history of serious offending).
The service a broad spectrum of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, involving patients at every stage. The hospital's consultant-led multidisciplinary team has a wealth of clinical and research experience in forensic psychiatry. All programmes are designed to reduce the risk of re-offending and to maximise the potential and enhance the quality of life of each patient.
Patients are among the most vulnerable members of society and require sensitive, therapeutic interventions delivered in a healing environment that encourages self-awareness, knowledge and empowerment.
As a qualified RMN nurse with experience, you will ensure patients receive high-quality care, while also supporting your colleagues and promoting good teamwork.
