Teaching Assistants - All Levels
Following a very successful year working with secondary schools across South Wales, Vetro Education are looking to recruit a number of teaching assistants for various Secondary Schools in RCT LEA and the surrounding area.
Long term, Short term, Ad hoc
Responsibilities and Duties of a Teaching Assistant
Undertaking tasks set by the class teacher
Supporting children within the class
Building up rapport between yourself and the pupils
Show initiative all times
Managing the classroom under the direction of the class teacher
Attending staff meetings
Undertaking training to further develop your professional portfolio
Working with groups of children to enhance their learning development
Supporting children with SEN/ALN when require
Qualifications and Skills
Experience of working in a Mainstream classroom/or experience of working with children with special educational needs (SEN) in an educational setting as a Teaching Assistant
A strong passion to enhance the development of pupils
An approachable and positive attitude
Hold relevant qualifications
Be registered with the EWC
Be confident in working with small groups and 1:1
Hold a current DBS on the update service or willing to take one out
Minimum you can expect to receive while working for Vetro Education:
Regular, Local and Specific work
