Senior Support Worker: Suitably experienced Support Worker required to work in a residential home based in Leyland near Preston, the service itself is part of a specialist school working with young people with Autism and Learning Disabilities.

As a Senior Support Worker on the residential care team you will provide residential care for boys and girls aged 6 to 19 who have mild, moderate and severe autistic spectrum conditions and associated complex learning needs and challenging behaviour.
Senior Support Workers will supervise a specific team and group of young people on specific shifts. You will supervise the effective implementation of learning programmes. You will also be responsible for dealing with issues and incidents on shift and support staff on to maintain effective relations with external agencies.
Experience working in a children's residential child care setting is essential
NVQ/Diploma L3 Caring for Children and Young People is desirable
