SENIOR SUPPORT WORKER / SUPPORT WORKER
Employment type: Full Time and Part Time (pro rata)
Hours per week: up to 40hrs per week
Salary: £16,250 - £19,250 (Pro Rata)

The purpose of the UK charity is to improve the lives of autistic people, here in the West Country they aim to transform lives, supporting autistic adults to live as self-sufficiently as possible. The organisation have a number of care & support services. From residential settings and supported living services empowering those supported to explore and engage with their local community and build independence.
About the Job
Vetro are assisting the organisation recruit for support workers; at both senior and entry level. As the service is quite rural (but equally quite a stunning location!) holding a driving licence and car would be needed! You'll be working with autistic adults and occasionally their families in residential and community environments.
You will be providing support in personal care and developing everyday life skills. Enabling the individuals supported to access activities and learning opportunities both on and off site, to develop their independence. Even going as far as supporting the individuals to go on holiday, enabling them to keep up outside interests and hobbies.

This job is going to be a new challenge regardless of what positions you have held in the past this is an opportunity to build your career in care (with all the support you need!) but fundamentally it's down to you as an individual! Demonstrating motivation and resilience .. as well as the ability to be supportive and sensitive towards the needs of autistic people is key.
Your working pattern will be a mixture of early and late shifts over a seven day fixed rota and can include sleep-ins and bank holidays. Although you will have to work weekends, the organisation make sure all of their employees have regular weekends off! if you are looking for part time or full time that's not a problem simply the ability to be flexible around shift work is needed. Because the majority of our locations are rural, you will need to hold a driving licence with access to your own vehicle.
Salary Range & Benefits

£16,250 - £19,250 (pro rata) / £8.44 - £9.70 (per hour)
Full time and part time permanent jobs are available.
