Senior Support Worker/ Assistant House Manager / Team Leader: Vetro recruitment are working with a national care provider to find an suitably experienced Senior Support Worker and Assistant House Manager / Team Leader to work in one of their Residential Children's Homes working with young people with autism and learning disabilities, based in Leyland.
As a member of the residential support care team you will provide residential care for boys and girls aged 6 to 19 who have mild, moderate and severe autistic spectrum conditions and associated complex learning needs and challenging behaviour. You will assist them with their daily lives.
This could be in the form of helping the young person at School, accompanying them to take part in an activity or simply assisting them in completion of general daily tasks, including morning and night time routines.
Working with the Registered House Manager, you will effectively lead the team of support workers and senior support workers (if Assistnat House Manager) and enable the delivery of care and education to the young people within the service.
Senior - Up to £19,000 per year plus overtime
Assitant House Manager - £21,000 per year plus overtime
Shift Patterns -The working patterns are two weekends off in six, early and late shifts during the week are 7.30am until 4.15pm or 3.45pm until 10pm. Weekend shifts are 7.30am until 2.30pm and 2pm until 10pm.
As an Assistant House Manager you will work on the floors doing supervisions and observations of the staff and as a Senior Support Worker you will line manager Support Staff on shift.
To apply you must:
- NVQ Level 3 Children and Young People
- Experience as a Senior and above
- Ideally drive.

Effective organisational capability
Great team player
Supervisory experience is desirable
Flexibility to respond to the changing needs of those in support
Experience working in a childrens residential child care setting is essential
NVQ/Diploma L3 Caring for Children and Young People is desirable
