Job: Senior Support Worker
Hourly rate: £10.07 per hour | £19,393 per annum
Contract: Permanent, DAY OR WAKING NIGHT Contracts available (including alternate weekends)
Location: Outskirts of Bideford, Devon
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a residential service for autistic people. Giving adults with autism the opportunity to lead fulfilling and increasingly independent lives in a beautiful environment.
**Due to the activities and the location of the site, it is essential that you have a full drivers licence and a car**
What will you do as Senior Support Worker:
Support the Management team with the daily running of the service
Be a positive and influential member of the team
Provide hands-on support to enable residents to gain in confidence and independence and to build their social and communication skills.
Work calmly and efficiently - whilst dealing with challenging situations
Who are we looking for?
- Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care
- Due to the nature of our service, a background in Learning Disabilities is essential
- Common sense approach
- People person, able to relate to residents
- IT Literate
- Caring nature and a good sense of humour always helps!
