Senior Residential Support Worker - Children & Young People
Full Time Permanent Day Positions available for Education & Residential service
We are currently recruiting for Senior Residential Support Workers to support a residential setting set amongst beautiful and tranquil Surrey countryside (KT6). You will be supporting Children & Young People (8-19) with complex needs, autism, learning disabilities and challenging behaviour. As a Senior Residential Support Worker you are responsible for supervising and supporting staff to fulfil their role as Residential Support Workers, as well as being responsible for the emotional and physical wellbeing of the pupils at all times.
** This role offers a 13 hour shift pattern on a 4 week rolling rota.
General Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Act as a member of the Care Team, ensuring effective working relationships supporting colleagues and being prepared to receive support when necessary.
- Participating in a wide range of individually tailored programmes, involving exciting recreational events; within both the home and the community.
- Assisting with daily practical living, such as cooking cleaning and general domestic tasks.
- Supporting individual's with personal care will be required.
- Experience of providing care and support to adults, young adults or children
- Level 2 / 3 Diploma in relevant care/children & young people related area is ESSENTIAL
- Experience working with children and young people with challenging, complex and diverse needs with knowledge of autistic spectrum disorders and asperger's syndrome.
- Overtime available
- Extensive training, career development and comprehensive induction provided
