We have a fantastic opportunity a Senior Support Worker to join a postitive, caring staff team that supports 11 adults with Learning Disabilities in a residential, supported living setting.

We're looking for enthusiastic and passionate individuals who can encourage and provide support for day-to-day living, such as social activities, sports and hobbies, employment, holidays etc along with support with general household duties such as cooking, cleaning and money management. In some services, you may be required to undertake personal care.

DETAILS:

Full time permanent position; 39 hours per week.

The shift patterns are; 7am - 2:30pm or 2pm - 9:30pm; working 5 days a week

Flexibility will be required throughout the week, and will include weekends and bank holidays.

Hourly rate: £9.13 (Salary £18,515)

Overtime is available if desired



IDEAL CANDIDATE:

NVQ/Diploma L2 or 3 in Health and Social Care

Previous experience supporting adults with Learning Disabilities

Be happy working as part of a team

Kind, caring nature, making sure that the services are comfortable, homely and happy places to live



DUTIES:

  • Support the Management team in the running of the service
  • Working closely with the staff team, supporting and motivating as necessary
  • Promote a caring environment
  • Support the Management team with recruitment
  • Assist the manage with creating staff rotas
  • Administering medications
  • Health and safety checks
  • Providing hands on support to residents, getting involved with day-to-day tasks
