Role: Service Manager - Supported Living Services - Adults Learning Disabilities

Salary: £22,700 - £25,504 depending on experience & qualifications

Location: Shrewsbury

The Organisation

My client has a strong record of delivering high quality supported living services for adults with learning disabilities. They are a not-for-profit registered charity firmly established in the West Midlands, Wales and Shropshire.

The Role

Due to the expansion of Services across Shropshire and as a result of Service development, my client are looking for an experienced leader in the area of learning disability to manage a cluster of services in the Shrewsbury area.

You will provide high quality support to your team ensuring that they have the necessary skills and resources to provide person centred support to individuals with learning disabilities enabling them to; live in their own home, increase their independence and decision making, and give them opportunities to actively participate in their community. Naturally you will be a strong people manager with the commitment to get involved in direct service delivery.

Experience of supporting people with a learning disability is essential as is holding an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification and you will be committed to working towards the QCF Level 5.

You will ensure consistency in the implementation of person centred support plans and have the ability to work in partnership to achieve positive outcomes for the individual you are supporting. Experience of working with individuals with complex health or behavioural support needs will be advantageous.

You will be required to manage and work within a rota to provide 24/7 support so reliability and flexibility are essential, as is holding a full driving licence as you will need to travel within the region. This role is a "hands-on" position, and participation in a management on-call rota is a regular requirement of the post.
