Staff Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD)

Vetro have a brand new opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RMN/RNLD/RGN) to join the team at a specialist nursing home for adults with complex needs, based in Sheffield. Service users are cared for in one of four units, depending on their unique needs. The home includes a male-only unit providing long-term care and support for men who require a single-sex environment, perhaps due to disinhibition or challenging behaviour. The other 3 units provide specialist support for men and women with a range of complex needs. With 59 beds in total, each unit has a choice of two lounges and a spacious dining room.

The specialist team provide complex care for older people with dementia and neuro-disabilities, often characterised by behaviour that challenges and unpredictable behaviour. They are experienced in providing person-centred care for people who may have limited capacity, communication difficulties and sensory impairments and have a proven track record in providing holistic, multidisciplinary care for people with late stage dementia, including Parkinson's and Alzheimer's, stroke, brain injury and neuro-disabilities.

Care and activity plans are built around individuals, supporting, nurturing and encouraging them to live happy, fulfilled lives. The person centred care philosophy is embraced with individualised care needs.

The commitment to providing the best care and support to all Service Users, means that the average ratio of staff in this Home is 6 Support Workers to every Nurse.

Salary: £37,128.00 working 42 hours per week (3 shifts 1 week and 4 the next)

Requirements:

You will be a registered nurse RNLD, RMN or RGN and will have a valid NMC pin.
You will provide warmth, enthusiasm and compassion when providing care to our service users.
You will always strive to provide great quality holistic care, making every day better than the last; promoting our core values: maintaining independence and dignity to our service users.
You will be a team player, demonstrating outstanding communication skills and will be able to demonstrate effective team work as part of a multi-disciplined team.
You'll be up to date with current evidence based practice and have a working knowledge of CQC Standards and Regulations and will work using your initiative making effective decisions to improve care quality.
Experience of Mentorship and a supervisor qualification would be desirable, but are not essential.
