Vetro Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Teacher who is looking for flexible work across a small number of cluster Primary schools in Pontypool and the surrounding areas.
Ideally you will be able to work across Foundation Phase and KS2.
Location:Pontypool, Blackwood, Monmouth
Pay rate: £100.00 - £125.00 per day
Hours: Ad Hoc, Monday to Friday, 8:30 - 3:30
Supply Teacher Responsibilities and Duties:
Teaching a variety of subjects according to the curriculum
Marking and assessment
Leading and assisting a class in the Foundation Phase
Working effectively with Learning Support Assistants within the class
Using class resources effectively
Monitoring the development of individual students
Assessing skills and knowledge through tests and assignments
Communicating with parents, the LEA and administrative staff Contributing to school events
Qualifications and Skills
It is essential to have Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) if you plan to work at an LEA school.
There are three main ways of gaining QTS:
Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
Graduate Teacher Programme (GTP)
School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT)
You must hold a current DBS certificate and be registered with the EWC
