Vetro are looking to recruit both Full time (37.5 hours) & Part Time (22.5 hours) Female Permanent Support Workers on behalf of a leading care organisation who pride themselves on providing homes and residential care services to thousands across London and the South East. Due to ongoing development we are looking to expand the support team; to work with individuals with Learning Disabilities based in Colchester & Wivenhoe area.

A competitive salary of £17,063 per annum - £8.75 per hour + a great benefit package.

The Role of Support Worker:

You will provide a high standard of care and support to adults with their day to day needs both at home and within the community. You should have a person focused approach, a positive attitude and ability to encourage choice, dignity, privacy, respect and community participation for the customers we support.

The specialist learning disabilities service provides 24-hour support, 7 days per week, the shifts are worked out on a rota basis to suit the needs of the individuals supported. with this in mind you will be required to work various shift patterns to ensure the service is supported 24 hours per day, to include evenings and weekends - so flexibility is required!

Experience, skills and qualifications:

  • A genuine passion for care and to be motivated by contributing to the progression of others.
  • A strong team player
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Previous experience would be an advantage, but not essential as successful applicants will receive an extensive training and an induction programme.
