Support Worker Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a number of passionate Support Workers to support and care for Children.

Support Workers will join a growing support team in a residential setting offering care and support to Children and Young People who have ranging learning disabilities and Autism.

The young people will present challenging behaviours, complex needs and there will be personal care involved, you must be comfortable with this to be considered for the role.

Support Workers will encourage their social, physical, emotional, intellectual and moral development so that they may realise their own potential.

Pay and Shifts

Support Worker pay is £18,000 + £75 per sleep.

However, if you have an NVQ Level 3 Children and Young People,you will start on a basic pay of £19,000 + £75 per sleep.

Support Worker shift patterns are on a 2 week rolling rota:

Week 1 - 4 days on (Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday), 3 days off.
Week 2 - 3 days on (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday), 4 days off.

Working one weekend in two.

Support is required when Children are not at school - so the hours are 2:30pm - 10:00pm during the week and 8:30am - 10:00pm during weekends and school holidays.

Doing at least 1 sleep a week is desirable, which again would be paid at an extra £75 per sleep.

If you are interested in Waking Watches - there are also full time positions for this on a shift pattern of 4 on, 4 off. Working from the hours of 10:30pm - 9:00am.
