We are currently seeking support workers to work within a small, friendly and supportive residential unit based in Gosport. You will be part of a team supporting a total of 4 adults with learning difficulties, autism and some complex needs. You will have strong communication skills and be able to encourage and support the service users in order for them to lead ordinary lives in their local communities. The organisation we are recruiting for pride themselves in helping those within their service to have a louder voice and control in their lives.
The shifts times are 7am til 2pm, 2.30pm til 10pm.
You will work on 2 week rolling rota to include some alternated weekend work and sleep in's.
Our clients work closely with the vulnerable adults, their parents, carers and professionals to complete and deliver tailored care plans to ensure each service user reaches their full potential. You will be part of delivering this high quality care so you must be committed and the service and adults you are supporting.
Main duties within our Support Worker vacancies:
- Supporting service users with complex needs within the residential unit.
- Assisting with meal preparation
- Supporting clients within day groups and social activities
- Assisting with Personal Care
- Encouraging client's independence
- Helping with general housekeeping
- Manual Handling and hoisting may be required.
